The Occrr standard
Occrr works because people treat each other well. These rules are short. Everyone agrees to them, and we enforce them.
Be real
- Use your own name and recent photos of yourself. Your face should be clearly visible in your main photo.
- One account per person. No pretending to be someone else.
- Be honest about your age and who you are.
Be respectful
- Talk to people the way you would want someone to talk to your sister, brother or best friend.
- No harassment, threats, insults or hate based on religion, caste, gender, sexuality, region, skin colour or disability.
- If someone stops replying, let it go. Don't create new ways to reach them.
Consent, always
- No means no, and silence means no.
- Don't pressure anyone to meet, share their number or move to another app.
- Never share someone's messages, photos or details outside Occrr without their permission.
No money requests
Never ask a match for money, gifts, recharges, loans or investments, for any reason. No selling, promotions or business pitches either. Asking for money is an instant ban.
No explicit content
No nudity or sexual photos, in your profile or in chat. Don't send sexual messages to someone who hasn't clearly welcomed them.
18+ only
You must be 18 or older to use Occrr. If you think someone is under 18, report them and we will remove the account.
Nothing illegal
No drugs, weapons, escort services, trafficking or anything else against the law in India.
If someone breaks the rules
Report them in the app. Our team reviews every report. Depending on how serious it is, we will:
- Warn the person for a first, minor problem.
- Suspend the account for repeated or more serious problems.
- Ban the account permanently for serious harm, scams, money requests, explicit content sent without consent, or anyone under 18.
We can skip straight to a ban when the situation calls for it. A banned person may not create a new account. Where someone may be in danger, we may share information with the police as the law allows.
